How would you feel if your son at university said he'd joined the worker's revolutionary guard?

I'd probably spend a solid ten minutes laughing, and poke fun at him every chance I got thereafter.

Do not have a son, but it would be his own free choice so to do, but I would feel slightly "betrayed"!
