I Sometime Think I Was Born In the Wrong Era

I Should Have Been A Late 19th/early 20th Century Explorer... I fit the bill perfectly. Overeducated, Irish/English heritage, heavy early childhood religious training, reads everything he can get his hands on, feels like Indiana Jones except looks like a professor, can walk many into the ground - but can't run, and of course I've got the thick spectacles. Also, I'm a mean journal writer.
I would miss computers, the Internet though. But I'd get to ride on a dreadnought, visit the Antarctic, walk the deserts of Egypt, roam the mountains of Anatolia, visit a Mongolian yurt, or trek through the jungles of the Amazon.
