@cherokeepatti That is the truth. I had one who used to watch the Chicago Cubs with us. He knew what time they were on, who the announcer was, and what the people said (Har-ry, Har-ry, Har-ry) and if you didn't put it on TV, he hollered until you DID.

@MaryJanine I had a parakeet that learned to whistle like a siren, didn’t know where he learned to do that till one evening the Bad Boys COPS song came on then he started making the siren sound

@cherokeepatti It appeals to them. My first cockatiel started to bounce when he heard "The Andy Griffith Show" theme. Later, he started to whistle with it when he had it down pat. He also liked the Blue Brother's version of "Rawhide".

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@smiler2012 he better not be saying them either, I have said a few words but he seems to know better, let’s hope so. The boy birds have the sassiest mouths.

Likely things you say in your sleep.

@cherokeepatti Yeah but surely you've napped where you keep them before?

@SW-User I wake up easily if I am talking I am woke

@cherokeepatti Fair enough.

You'd be surprised. I had a cockatiel during the Clinton/Monica Lewinsky thing and within a week, he picked up the word "RAPE!" and hollered it at the most inopportune times.
