Rain tomorrow morning, horses in the barn or pasture?

rckt148 · 61-69, M
The man who owns the horse ranch my daughter runs thinks his horses will melt
He never allows them to get wet ,so they tromp in mud puddles
like little kids they seem to enjoy doing things he says he don't want them doing .
I grew up across the street from a pasture
I rarely ever seen those horses in the stable and they seemed to love to run in the rain ,,or just stand there getting soaked .
Is it suppose to matter if they are in the barn or running in the rain ?

@rckt148 horses can handle most weather. If the corral gets muddy they do as well and they can slip and a fall with their weight could be bad. To be honest it’s usually more for our convenience when feeding, cleaning, etc. I will leave them out tonight. Corral is well drained, it’s not cold and tomorrow they will be thrilled to get out in the pasture. I just need to go a little early so I can change after. They get bored in the barn which is probably why the horses your daughter works with are so ornery! Lol. Just fighting boredom.

@trackman11 I have another friend who also own horses
They fight over feed bags ,,bite and kick each other
Just lay there when you call them like they are dead ,laying in the sand
My Mom was like son those horses are going to hurt one another
I grew up around horses ,,I know like old people they can break something pretty easy ,,but for the most part they are tough
The ones my daughter deal with are spoiled
They show out of they are not let out of their stalls in the right order
We have a red nosed pit ,,when she is bored there is not telling what she will get into ,,she made my yard looked like it snowed
She tore her house apart ,,then ripped her huge bed /pillow to pieces
I can reassemble her house ,,tie it down with ropes and spikes
She will find a way to untie it ,,tear the house apart
then dig a hole under the base of it
or turn the roof upside down and lay inside it like a boat
She needs lots of attention
But we love animals ,,I used to work with elephants and camels
Those are 2 you don't want getting ornery ,,camels love to lick or spit
elephants take down trees
