Have you ever watched your dog herd cattle?

I had a Blue Heeler that was the smartest dog I have ever seen. He always seemed to know what I wanted. He learned to read simple symbols, and hand signs, with ease. He was a natural at herding, of course, without any training. I could point, and say, "Take them over there.", and he would do it. I could point at an unclear track in the trail, let him smell it, and when I named the correct animal he would place his front paws on the track. F*ckin' brilliant dog!!! I loved watching him in action too! Chasing rabbits, herding cattle, didn't matter, he was something to behold.

I MISS MY DOG!! They should live the same amount of time as their person.

No, but I had an Akita my my daughter was young. If there was a crowd of kids around he would herd them to separate her from the rest of them. In doing this he could more easily protect her. She was HIS baby.

I have a Blue healer - I don't use him to herd but he is a very smart and very loyal boy. Cheers and happy weekend!
