The breeds you mention require a lot of exercise. Got time to do that ?
Who will be looking after it if you're busy all day ?

Maybe. Just as important is having plenty of time to spend with it, and actually doing that.

Try a plant first. If it lives, you may be able to.
Also make sure you have enough time to spend with it.
