I'd like to get a new puppy dog but I'm afraid it would get eaten by the feral cats that have made my backyard their home. What to do?

Adopt a grown up dog from the animal shelter? They're equally loveable. :)

The only have 3 Staffies at the moment and I can't take just one of them. Some old lady owned all three but couldn't look after them and had to give them up. I can't adopt three dogs myself and I don't wanna break them up either... @pandainpinktutu

@Thevy29 aw that sucks. Poor dogs. :/
In that case you'll have to very careful with the puppy because the cats may end up hurting him/her.

Keep the puppy in a cage inside for a while...use puppy pads, it’s bed, water, and food and when it is sleeping put a blanket over the top of the cage. We have feral cats everywhere also and I keep my pups indoors. Another alternative...maybe the garage or the laundry room.
Until it’s big enough it will have to stay inside.

Call cat control and have the ferals trapped, neutered, and re-located.

We don't have cat control her in my town and the Dog catcher doesn't seem to make in head way with the demonic furballs either. @ChipmunkErnie

@Thevy29 Around here there's no OFFICIAL car control,. but there are several volunteer groups who will trap and spay ferals and try to get them adopted or re-located. You could ask your local vets if they know of any groups.
