Yeah, so, I just found a tarantula hawk in my hotel room...
I'm not one to be easily frightened by animals, even most insects, but that wasn't really a fun experience. I trapped it in a shoe box and threw it out the window.

I was all excited when I found your post, 'cause I thought you were talking about a bird, but then I realized you're talking about a tarantula and that's really scary!! Where are you?! Did you surprise anybody outside with a giant flying spider?? I love animals and insects and I know they all have a place, but spiders and snakes have always been shudderingly-creepy to me.

@PissAndVinegar Yikes, that's nuts. The wild creatures living out there are fascinating and terrifying. I just watched a nature program called "Life" with my grandparents. The focus was mainly on reptiles and amphibians. Someday they're gonna rule the world, like the dinosaurs. hah.
