I Hate Racism and Discrimination

the whole united airlines incident is a clear example of the whites abusing minorities again
Newandimproved · 61-69, M
I have a different take on this

Isnt it amazing how airlines have become little tyrant dictatorships since 9/11

I realize the need to keep order in a flying tin can

The airline screwed up on overbooking

They could have offered people 5,000 per person to get the four seats they needed to move the crewmembers elsewhere

If that had hit the news then they could uave spun it as the united lottery and said they were taking a hit for their mistake

Instead they have millions in negative publicity to overcome

Their motto used to be "fly the friendly skies of united"

Most companies in general. most of them do not care about providing a service to the people, its always been about money and I would not mind if they said that truthfully but they try to act differently from their nature. its painful to watch.

@LesDeplorable: 再见,不送了。 sayonara. Adios. Good riddance. Mr Deplorable. And I forgot to say - your name really suits you. 😜
If this were blacks, the race card would be used and you'll hear from Jessie Jackson and such and there will be a riot.
Nice cop out, no real facts anymore, so you're done?
@FitAndTrimYetThick:
I see it takesa group to defeat a one man battle? What do you think, you both can tag in your backups!!! - if you give up?!

I do not think race has nothing to do with it, although I think the bigger issue is corporate greed.

Racial stereotypes exist. Just that this time, David Dao proved them wrong -that he may look like a bespectacled docile Asian but he is far from being obedient or passive. I think the airlines people did not expect him to defy orders and thus when he did, all the more they handled him roughly. Asians are known to be compliant and not take to the streets to protest or litigate.

In the US, in 2016, Asian men and women take home more than their white counterparts. It is due to their work ethic and the fact that they assimilate readily into their host countries. In a place like the US, they are valued because they do not cause trouble. However, quiet does not mean they will be bullied. They will not take to the streets. Lame. Pressure will come in the form of boycotting the airline and all things American. Economic sanctions work best when dealing with a country that speaks only in such terms

I cannot understand what race has to do here. I see a man suffering the power of corporate greed.
I don't agree at all with the 'race does not exist' crap. This bs has led to the other extreme, interprete everything in racial terms. Both extremes are a mistake
Quite a bit of a reach, do you think? That's your take away? Way to insight the hatred and the biased racist protrayal of light skinned AMERICANS. Yay for you, that shows, how racist you are, bc the minority in America is the white man.

Btw, I'm just stating facts, you'll most likely flag me; bye!

Is it?? A computer randomly chose which passengers to boot. I'm not saying that was the right way to handle it but it wasn't ever about race or racial discrimination.😑
Yawning · 26-30, F
convenient that it picked a Asian man
Bean17 · 46-50, F
Well there were 4 other passengers who were asked to leave also--and left without incident. But I don't know what their ethnicities are. I'm still not sure this is a "clear example" of discrimination, though.
