I Write From The Heart
I am concerned. There are so many who do not know Jesus as their personal Savior, that will miss heaven. He is coming back soon. If they miss Him, they will have missed everything. I say this because religions fail us every time. I follow no one but Christ, because my faith stems from Him, not man. Religion is man-made philosophy. It will never be able to save mankind, for two reasons:
1. Salvation cannot be earned, nor worked for. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Jesus died on the cross, because we can never bring ourselves back into fellowship with God, without His saving grace. Grace is unearned favor from God. In order to have our sins forgiven, it took a sinless sacrifice, which is Jesus, our only Mediator. 1Timothy 2:5
2. No religion died for your sins. Jesus did. Nor does any religion offer salvation for your sins.
Christian means "follower of Christ", not follower of some religion, which is as He meant it to be.
The determining factor of one's authentic faith relationship with God is not one's denomination, religious practice, or performance in Christian disciplines, but rather the presence of the indwelling Spirit of Christ. As it is written, “if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (Rom.8:9)
Do you have to accept this? Not at all, however, know that your sins will continue to keep you separated from God, and therefore you will not be with Jesus when you die, as there is no sin in heaven, or it wouldn't be heaven. Jesus is not willing that any should perish, however if you do not accept his free offer of salvation, there's nothing He can do. He can't make that choice for you. That is a personal decision. The whole purpose in His dying, was to give you an opportunity to avoid hell. Without this opportunity, we would all live eternally separated from Him. Why? Because sin separates us from God. God is fair, and wants us in heaven with Him. It is sin that is not fair. Jesus came to remedy that, or would you rather the alternative? Without Jesus, we'd never see our loved ones again, nor live forever with them in heaven, where there are no more tears, killings, diseases, or wars. Only peace, love, and joy, forever. If you miss the opportunity to be saved, you won't be able to use the excuse that no one told you. Do not harden your heart. Jesus didn't have to provide a way to heaven for us...but He did. We should all be grateful, for had He not, we'd all die in our sins.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
