I Do It Cover To Cover

I started this group on EP so I consider it my duty(salutes flag) to post something here. Just two versions of an old Lou Reed song.I saw Lou in NY some time ago and talked to two of the band in the cold Manhattan air.Lou is probably as venerated by musicians as much as he is ignored by the corporate mainstream radio.
This may be his most known song after.Walk on the Wild Side.
I think this was produced by David Bowie,Sweet Jane by Mott, the Hoople

The Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian alternative band who covered the tune in the 90s,in Thee Trinity Session. As the name implies it was recorded in a church, with one microphone. If so many female singers had not subsequently adopted the "I'm on downers"-suicidal vocal style I might appreciate the quality of Margo Timmins fine voice more

Love Cowboy Junkies, but somehow never realized that song was a cover.
