I Will Tell You What Is Behind My Username

This guitar. I built it with my Dad initially in early 1980s but it's been altered sometimes after that.

In the 90s I auditioned for a band. In reviewing the drummer said "I liked the guy with the NunoStrat" since it looks a bit like the signature model Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme was using at the time.

I joined the band and Nunos stuck as a nickname

'Built' as in built built? What a cool thing to do together, and what a cool piece to have forever.

Did he teach you how to build a guitar stand? Because I'm getting sick just looking at this guitar in this predicament ;)

It was parts but unlike now in those days much more effort to assemble. I.e no bridge holes or neck pocket completed, for example it is a large headstock, bullet trussrod neck but 4 screw fixing through a home made anchor plate.
It was perfectly safe trust me. Lol

I really like the natural satin finish. Is the guard white or is it metal?

@doctorlove: white three ply plastic which I cut out myself. The pickup surrounds are metal and the knobs

@doctorlove: I got the finish from an old style hardware store it was for furniture. Now I often use Wudtone finishes which are really good and easy to use
