Don't be so hard on yourself on this matter. You will eventually find out that age is a high price to pay for wisdom.

Enjoy the learning process and make note of those who did take advantage of you for their gains.

This is a fault of mine, as well. I take everything people tell me, at face value; sometimes, to my detriment.

It's your good nature and trusting heart. You expect everyone to be as honest as you, but unfortunately that's not the case. It's almost impossible to change one's nature, but get taken in by unscrupulous people often enough, and it will happen automatically. It may take a long time.

@Carissimi, so did you figure out how to stop automatically trusting everyone? In hindsight I can always see where I've gone wrong (of course!) but at the time...not at all :-) I would still like to be trusting...but not quite so...so very open to being completely taken in! All the time.

@Abrienda, Oh absolutely! It can be so much easier to see when someone else is being taken for a ride – and hopefully give them a heads up or try to help if we can! If only we had that kind of insight into our own situations! :-)
