IS it irresponsible to keep the baby if you're broke?

Mamapolo2016F
A whole lot of babies have been born to broke parents and survived not just okay - but better than average - some WAY better than average.

It isn't a question of where the baby will get the most material advantages - but where will they get safety, love, encouragement and guidance?

No. It's only irresponsible if you are SO broke you don't have a place to live, don't have enough money to pay for heat, and can't feed the baby or provide him or her with diapers.

I bought cloth diapers for my baby and plastic pants to go over them...and that leaks, BTW. I had to hand rinse them in the toilet, and that is disgusting, but I did it, and I kept a bucket filled with 20 mule team borax and water and arm and hammer detergent to keep the diapers soaking and stop them from smelling bad in between washes. I nursed my baby, so I didn't have to buy formula.

Your main responsibility as a parent is to keep a baby safe, warm, and well fed.

If you can do that much, then you are okay.

A child needs love and yeah money does help, but you find a way to manage

Its basically about love, not money. I trust you don't live in a society that will let it starve.

Very tough decision 馃檲
If you鈥檙e not actively looking to change your situation, yes, a bit. Occasionally that鈥檚 a strong incentive for people to try and improve their circumstances, for the child.
