Do you come from a brutally honest family?

No and I wouldn't want to. There are ways to tell the truth with compassion and tact.

As long as it's actual brutal honesty and not pseudo-edginess. I know so many people who claim to be "brutally honest" but their definition of it is saying stuff like "you're really stupid, just saying."

thats known as being an ass hole and its nothing special
requires nothing of you to just blurt out "Your Truth "
I am honest too ,,but I used something known as tact
I take a few seconds to "tell the truth "but in a way as to get my point across but not intentionally hurt someone

now see in this case I didn't ,,and now i have to repent and say I am sorry for the profanity

My Father says "thou shalt not lie "
But he also say "love covers a multitude of sins "

there is always a way to tell the "Truth " and not intentionally hurt people ,,you put your brain in gear before your mouth
