I see they want to ban smacking in Wales how many of you was smacked as kids

There is vast difference between a smack for the good of a child and actual child abuse.

I was smacked and it did me no harm, I would smack my own children, and I had to smack my god-daughter to prevent her sticking a fork into an electric socket, with the full support of her parents.

Thinking these little smacks and taps are abusive is just bloody ridiculous and yet another example of our 'nanny state' and soft-minded individuals.

I was always punished with smacking. Mum would drag me to the sofa, telling me off. I would start to say how sorry I was and begged her not to smack me but it never worked. She'd bend me over and starting smacking my poor bum bright red. I cried like a baby. I deserved them lol.

They need to start doing parenting classes or discipline classes then because removing what we know works when used correctly will only leave people to draw a blank and then what happens is what has already happened in England, kids rule the roost. Parents are frightened and ill equipt to deal with an unruly child.
