What kind of parent sends their kid to school with a fever ?

I don’t know that there is a specific type of parent that sends their children to school Ill.

Some may be that careless, sure. But not a lot of parents with young children can afford to stay home...

Kids gotta learn how to roll with the punches. We can’t blow off our responsibilities everytime we fall ill.
Maybe they can't afford to miss work. Some employers are assholes and many families live in poverty and a day off work could mean some very hard choices about food or bills.

Parents that just don't give a shit. All they care about is themselves!!!

@SW-User I have faith that they will. I'm a friend anytime!🤗
I don't know what kind of douchebag would make their kids go to school with a fever I mean unless there is some really bad circumstances or really good excuse why they would need to send them to school they should be staying home
Don't know the particulars here, but a kid can develop a fever in the time it takes to say it.
I guess it would depend on how Ill the kid is. If I were a parent, I would of course want to stay home and take care of my child but after reading through these comments I can look at a different perspective and see it’s not always that black and white and not everyone is fortunate to do that. Obviously if the child is seriously ill or even throwing up something along those lines I think it’s your duty as a parent to keep them home regardless of what’s going on but a minor cold or something small I can see maybe being a bit more understanding towards as far as not being able to get off of work or something. I think it really all depends but I think the best thing is to keep them home for many reasons but that’s sadly not always an option. When growing up as a small child we lived with my grandma so she was always home. once we moved and as I got a bit older if I were sick I’d stay home by myself. 🤷🏽‍♀️

@SW-User Is your boy sick Cherby? Did someone get him sick?
SW-User
No , but he was telling me that a friend of his was sent to school with a fever ...I know many parents do this and it makes me angry @SW-User
SW-User
@SW-User I think that's cruel.
You would be surprised.

I work at an elementary school and every other day we call parents right after first bell to come and pick up their child. Some don't show up for hours...

Breaks my heart.

@lizzy96 It's called compassion...try it Sometime

@SW-User I have compassion but not when parents decide to send their kids to school sick, not only will the kid not feel like doing anything but they spread the germs to everyone else. Which can evetually lead to half the school being sick
SW-User
@lizzy96 agreed

I mean it could be the fact that they don't know, the kid might not show symptoms until they reach school and they feel sick go to the nurse's office and have their temp taken. Same thing with the stomach bug, When I was in middle school around December I went to school but apparently I had the stomach flu because Later on during the school day I fell sick and I while waiting for my mom to come I threw up a lot. I didn't go back the next day
SW-User
@lizzy96 I'm talking about parents that knowingly send their kids to school with a fever
lizzy96 · 26-30, F
@SW-User because there a**holes that care more about their kids education then their kid being sick and spreading germs to other kids and teachers at school

Maybe they don't have a choice. Work won't let them off. Not saying I've done it but this is reality.
What kind of job makes you come in with a fever?
Maybe they didnt know or had to go to work idk 😐 Poor kid
SW-User
If they payed attention,they would know@SStarfish
@SW-User i guess.. Maybe they have lots of kids tho? Who knows 😬

Well, realistically it could be one of 2 kinds.
1) Just doesn’t give a shit
2) Is too busy trying to get everyone off to work and school to notice
SW-User
I was never absent in school even when i have flu. Lol
@SW-User 😱 why
SW-User
Because FOMO especially the homeworks. 😂 Besides, fever will eventually br gone after a few dayss
My Grandparents wouldn't let me go to the hospital when I sprained my knee in school.
