Ladies: would you ever name a child after yourself?

I would. Not my exact name but ' Nicholas' so he can be 'Nicky' too
😃
Sounds like he’d have nicked your name

😅 but anyway no I dislike my name anyway so I wouldn’t shove it on someone else too
@iamnikki I guess but I think that’s gone way out of fashion pretty quick. I don’t think many people nowadays do it and tbh I can’t see why they do?
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@AndrewtheAlu yea i get it. The kid would have ny same nickname if i do it...since my name isn't Nicolas 😃
@iamnikki and then you’ll forever be confused about who that mail addressed to Nicky was really meant for
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
Had the opportunity three times. I didn’t want it, because I remembered the confusion in my house growing up - oldest brother had the same name as my Dad

@SW-User 😂😂😂

Let me go see if I can find a picture of Li’l Joe for you. 😏
SW-User
@JavaJoe I need to acquaint myself with both so I don't get confused.
JavaJoe · 51-55, M
@SW-User I can imagine! Trust me!!! 😂😂
SW-User
I'm pretty sure that's generally a male thing. I've never seen a female name with the prefix, "Jr.", which would mean she had the same first name as her mother.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@SW-User right. Thats why i asked the question. But my name isnt Nicolas😁. We'd just have the same nickname 👍
BrattyMel · 31-35, F
You wouldn’t have to put Jr. someone I know a woman named Helen who named her daughter Helen @SW-User
SW-User
No. I had an ex with the same name as his Dad. If I ever needed to write to him I never made it too personal just in case!
I would give her my grandmother's name.
So it'd be kind of a nickname then ;P
BrattyMel · 31-35, F
No I wouldn’t
Miram · 31-35, F
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
No, that seems a little egotistical to me. 🤷‍♀️
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@DearAmbellina2113 not at all. Not in my case anyway. U feel that way about boys who are juniors too?
