How Do You Tell A Parent Their Child May Be Lying To Them?

We have friends their daughter is in communications in college and got ger degree this summer. She has been an intern the past 2 yrs for a man and telling her parents she is staying with his family while there, found out he has been seperated for the last 2 yrs. Her parents are not aware of that and are excited he is offering to help her in her career?? Trying not to ramble.

I'm late to the party, so to speak, but I agree with @eatpraylove. Your friends' daughter is an adult, and can make her own decisions - even if you personally think they're bad ones. If they are bad decisions, she'll get to learn some important life lessons early on; we all go through it - probably not the same lessons, but we all made mistakes in our 20s that inform us later in life.

thats a tough one ,
but if she is grown
My kids did some very stupid things and one while she was in Bible college
She did not tell me why she wasted all my money and now wants to come home and go to school for make up and hair at the local college
I later found out ,she has not to this day told me why but when I am not supporting them ,I only meddle when they call and say
"Dad can you please come get me ",then my home ,my rules
It sucks ,but I made my share of mistakes ,have to let my kids make their own too

its a bad situation you are in ,,but if she is grown I would leave it up to her
she more than likely will come clean when she is with child or they are invited to a wedding
and if they are like me ,they will be hurt ,but love her no less

I wouldn't get involved. I'm sure they'll find out eventually.

@Greenbare yes think she has figured out what it takes to really succeed and let mom and dad pay for it

Happens more than you think, maybe the daughter ought to be the one to tell

I think eventually they will find out and it will be embarrassing

Stay out of it...It won't end well if you get involved.

"Excuse me, but I think you ought to know. Your child may be lying to you". Is that plain enough?
What is it to you ?

Isn´t she an adult ?

Live and let live

Stay out of it. The decision to tell (or not) should be the daughter's
