I Am A Fireman
I had a close call yesterday.
My respirator malfunctioned while in a building, I had to remove the damned thing to even get any air. Unfortunately what I ended up breathing was not air, it was hot smoke of course. I ended up going to the hospital for smoke inhalation and spent the better part of my day there instead of doing what I love to do.
Now I can't go back out on any calls for a few days until my lungs completely heal up.
Basically it just plain pisses me off, kudos to one of my brothers for allowing me use his to help us get out of the building.
Thus is the life of a firefighter.
