My mother has long collected orchids.
She has a number of them, keeps them on window ledges. I enjoy them.

surprisingly we don't do anything to ours on this window and they thrive. We water them every now and then and that's it. At our old house, we couldn't keep an orchid alive even if our lives depended on it.
