I Am A Musician And I Compose Music

I'm very used to the old school things, tape editing, multi track recording, pedals, etc but this new DAW stuff has me a bit frustrated, though it does seem to be a rather fast and more convenient way to edit and arrange. Many things are visual as well. The tracks and wave forms are visible with markers almost as if it is virtual tape cutting. I'm working with a talented young lady in Texas from here in Colorado. Getting things done would be so much easier in person, as we could make noise and choose bits & pieces to use instead of endless hours of compositions sent via email here how about this one? Nay, ok let's wait til I get more data to send this one. In person we could get a song recorded within a week's time, unlike online it is taking several weeks for one.
