I Appreciate Honesty and Truth
This is dedicated to all the women who feel used, abandoned and not worthy of receiving love.
Today was another ordinary day, as she looked into the mirror and saw nothing. She was invisible, emotionally vacant and without hope. She had a new beau, who told her she was special, pleasing to his eye and accepted her unconditionally or so she thought.
He said he would call, she was his ideal woman and she was on cloud nine. The days turned into weeks and she realized he was untrue. Duped again into believing she was worthy of a man's love, she struggled to make it through another day. Each day she waited for him to come forward, a text perhaps but not today. The day ended as it began, still hoping...perhaps he lost her number, was on a business trip or worse yet, had a wife and family.
A friend said, change happens when it is time, you are given what you need at the right time. She certainly didn't feel change at all. She just didn't believe her life would ever be better. She sunk into despair and didn't bother anymore, she felt life had passed her by.
One day, while buying a few meager groceries, her cart bumped into another shopper and as she apologized, she turned and saw him her old beau, on the arm of another woman. She gasped and tears welled up in her eyes as she realized he was never coming back to her.
Three years later as she walked along the beach, she saw a familiar shape coming towards her. It was him after all these years. As she turned to walk away, he called to her and said, I have been searching for you, but you could not be found. I called to you while looking at the night sky hoping you would hear me, but you did not. I realized that you were the woman who brightened my days while I was alone, and it is you that I have always wanted. It took the universe three long years to change him into the man she needed. Destiny is like that, if it is meant to happen it will. So do not give up, thinking yourself unworthy of love, the universe is just fine tuning who you were meant to be with and it always comes at the right time.
