I Love Old Houses

Whats not to love. My house dates back around 200 years in the old section but there are many much older nearby. One of the perks of living in Britain I guess. The history, the aura, the architecture. I can say for a fact working in the construction industry that they don't build them like they used to. I can't see any of the rubbish thats being thrown up nowadays standing up to half a millennium of use like some of the houses near to me. Not to mention the complete lack of character. A real shame really

Thank you!!! i love older houses don't get me wrong i like new one's " Mainly because the have A/C and heaters built in i hate window units " but newer homes don't have ANY Character, design, story i feel like you can kinda get a little look at what kinda person is by their house but they all look the same now what happen to the design detail i will always love a old victorian house that my friend is a dream house

Yes indeed. There are some grand old Victorian houses near where I live. They really built them to last. Same with their bridges
