I Hate Arguing And Fighting

@Loretta78
I wholeheartedly agree with you, Loretta. As my grandma likes to say, "There's no use putting a turnip in the soup if no one will eat it." She says this when a conversation degenerates into an argument where two or more parties are just trying to shout over each other and have no intention of trying to understand the point of view of another. Thus, why have a conversation if all you are going to do is create distance versus a closer relationship?

In the spirit of this our families have used the following books like bibles to help us with our communication. You might like to check them out. They are available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble and you can get them used as well. Amazon has customer reviews that share what people think of them....you might like to read them first before buying.

1) "Human BE-ing: How to Have a Better Relationship" by William Pietsch
2) "Liberated Parents, Liberated Children: Your Guide to a Happier Family" by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. (This is a parenting book but the communication models serve for interaction between adults as well. We actually use this book for ground floor dialogue "How to talk so kids will listen and listen so kis will talk" among many others).

Give it a shot, Loretta. You have nowhere else to go but up!
