I Hate Arguing And Fighting

On the one hand, it’s sad to live so far away from my family. We get along pretty well these days. I’ll miss the big family dinners, talking over coffee about politics and Life, kicking back with a movie, laughing together, and when my kiddo gets to play with them as grandchildren do. Sometimes it’s a real bummer as the years go by, but after a few weeks I remember there are very good, healthy reasons I moved away. On the other hand, their negativity, incessant fighting, and judgmental, hypercritical tendencies gets old fast, and I’m not super thrilled about my kiddo adopting their attitudes. It be different if I lived close, and we were able to periodically visit, rather than stay there for lengths of time with no escape when everyone is determined to be in a snappy, foul mood. I miss them already, but I’m also relieved to be back home where circumstances are riddled with obstacles I have to tackle alone, but there is peace in the land. 😅 No explosive arguments, no one tearing anyone down, no soap operas, just a level of chill I worked damn hard to achieve. 😎 ✌️

How old are you?

@SW-User do you think it's beyond what other people do?
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst Eh, I try not to think about it like that, but given how much I’ve had to overcome and continue to hustle, sure, yes, more than many opt to.
