@aldnazmeister There's a difference between cacao and cocoa and the chocolate. The tree is called Cacao tree or Theobroma cacao some use the term cocoa as well, raw beans are called cacao(it's the least processed, purest form),processed beans (roasted) are called cocoa, chocolate is made from cocoa (roasted beans) solids and cocoa those are the basic ingredients, further processing depend on a brand (sweetener, colour, additives)
I didn't heard the term chocolate powder before, all i heard was grounded chocolate (I'm not sure if that's the same thing because my country has weird names for everything ) xD
I didn't know the difference between cacao and cocoa up until two years ago,I try to get cacao whenever I can but it's expensive in my country.. :)

I looked. She honestly responded to your question as requested (maybe someone asked her that very question) and went out of her way to be nice to you. In return you pretty much accused her of being a troll, and now you're still attacking her? I guess nothing is your fault.
No you're all wrong. Chocolate comes from eggs laid by bunnies. Jeez, do some research. IDIOTS! 😎

Chocolate is made with cocoa powder, some sweeteners and butter (if vegan then some other ingredient to make it solid for example coconut oil) and some additives,it really depends on a brand. She was talking about Cacao beans, they are harvested from a cacao tree and they have nothing to do with the chocolate. Chocolate is a processed food made from grounded and roasted beans,it's not a plant while cacao powder is still considered a whole food and unprocessed -unlike cocoa powder which has been roasted.

She thought that chocolate was a plant!I still can't stop laughing. I know that I am not very educated but damn this is a whole new level xD
aldnazmeister · 56-60, M
What? Do you mean a plant and a tree are not the same thing? I better do an internet search. lol
Mahjack · 31-35, M
@bhatjc, indeed. We need to surf a lot on the internet! :P

@notmyfault, Chocolate comes from a tree called the Cocoa tree, or in Spanish, Cacao. The tree grows pods that hold seeds. The seeds are removed from the pod, then roasted, shelled, and ground to produce chocolate powder. That is when the process of making chocolate comes from that you are talking about.

I wasn't joking and I wasn't trolling. And I didn't leave in anger. There was nothing polite in your response, and you hurt my feelings. Next time somebody hearts your question and asks to be your friend you should try being nice to them. And why are you trying to get hearts out of attacking people? I'm better than that.
*google*..that-is-what-corrective text-is-for 🙃
aldnazmeister · 56-60, M
@notmyfault, the tree is the same tree, called by either term. As you say, the process after the powder is made is what makes the difference. Cocoa is unsweetened, whereas chocolate is sweetened. Both can make candy. Cocoa typically does cost more here in the US also.
aldnazmeister · 56-60, M
@notmyfault, however, you are more correct than I am as cocoa powder is pure and unsweetened, whereas chocolate powder typically has been sweetened. Both can be used in cooking, making drinks, and making chocolate or cocoa candy bars. :)

Hahaha
aldnazmeister · 56-60, M
I guess that it was so thought provoking that she decided to post it on your thread versus searching the internet. lol
Originalme · 26-30, F
Well I asked '' what was the most thought provoking question you have been asked?'' and she replied with that lol

Why do people post questions that they can do an internet search on? lol
Mahjack · 31-35, M
Apologies come with chocolate, where's mine? :P Na, it's ok xD
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@ notmy. DIdn't know some of that. Thank you for the lesson
bhatjc · 46-50, M

Mahjack · 31-35, M

Hahah sorry Jack xD

@lovelylucy I'm sorry Lucy but you're wrong. I never attacked her,I just politely asked her whether she was serious or whether she was trolling. Her response seemed sarcastic to me and then she got angry. I wasn't rude and I wasn't insulting.
Originalme · 26-30, F
I asked you whether you were serious or not but not in a condescending way,I was genuinely curious. You said I'm removing my friend request so that would indicate that you were angry.

Hahaha
Originalme · 26-30, F
And after I asked if she's being serious or trolling she said that she's going to un-like my post and unfriend me xD
Dude.
Dude.
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@ notmy. That is so true. Chocolate is not chocolate till you roast the bean. But that is the same with coffee as well
aldnazmeister · 56-60, M
@bhatjc, you are saying that coffee is not chocolate until you roast the beans? lol
Tbh I don't know the answer to that 😔
