I feel the same way and my mother has been gone now for 15 years.
We never stop needing mother love and care. I think it's basic to the human condition. We have to seek out kind and nurturing friends and we need to get good at nurturing ourselves. And we need to get used to the idea that we will always have a hole in our hearts where mother love should be.
