I Am Always Thinking

I wonder if there will ever be a day when people don't judge me based on my age. I'm at work and the lady asked me if we have any slips. Then she said you're probably too young to even know what that is. But I wear slips, under every dress. most ladies know what those are. Most ladies who don't want to walk around in a see- through dress wear them.

But I doubt it will ever stop. When you're young lots of people think you're stupid and know nothing. Then when you're old lots of people think you're senile and have amnesia.

Better get used to it i guess.

I might have said the same thing to you. My daughter never wears slips--I never put her in one as a child, either, and she says her friends don't, either. I don't wear them, myself, anymore. Some dresses have an extra lining and others just seem to be thick enough. What I can't get over is that my daughter and her friends don't consider wearing stockings--I think they make legs both look better and feel better (and you can even get away without shaving your legs). Oh, and I call them hose. Every time I say that, she bursts out laughing.

@Poppies yea, i see why one would wear it when a dress comes with it or is thick. Im talking about the see through summer time dresses. Looks tacky when everyonr can see your underwear on top and bottom.
I no longer wear stockings. Had to growing up but stopped when i had a choice.

@Poppies I rarely wear stockings but I had a job interview a few days ago. I wore a dress, stockings with a nice pump.

@Poppies Thanks! No word yet regarding a second interview, however; I have another interview next Wednesday and might wear the same thing. Hose (I can see why your daughter cracks up) work in a professional or formal setting... you can quote me on that. 😂
