I Am Having Family Problems

Ok so please don't judge me it has took a lot for me to come on here at write this.

I hate my family life, my teenage daughter who is 17 as made family life hell on earth over the past 3years or more. On a daily basis she tells me I'm fat, I'm a slag, I'm a useless Mum, I can't cook, laughs cause I only work a hour a day. Recently she told her college that she was homeless and that she was at harm obviously after they spoke to us they realised there was no problem and further action was taken. I just hate her she makes my life a misery. My husband is no use he doesn't take any side but does nothing when she kicks off. She needs help but won't get any if she refuses help we can't do anything. I just wanna run away and never come back I am not in love with my husband anymore and the only reason I stay is for my son and the lack of my own money. Please help is anyone in same position xx

I get it. My son just turned 18, and there are times I feel like this. I dislike my husband, who actually encourages my son to treat me badly. 1) She is a teenager. Teenagers are awful. 2) She does not get to treat you that way. Find something that will get her attention, like changing the internet password or taking away her cell phone. 3) Explain the rules. If you do x than consequence y. ALWAYS follow through. 4)Make seeing a doctor or a therapist mandatory. You can bargain with her for something she wants if you need to. 5) Stand up for yourself. You are worth more than that.

@SW-User we have taken phone away etc. No money. Ground her. Nothing works. She won't except help she thinks there is nothing wrong with her

@SW-User That is really tough. I feel for you. Have you pointed out that she can spend time with the therapist trash talking you AND she won't have to hear you complain about her not going? Is she having problems at school or with friends?

@SW-User she doesn't like school and now she doesn't like college but there again she doesn't like working neither. She has friends x

@SW-User She doesn't like school or working... Sadly enough, you may need to make her leave once school is over. Maybe being forced to be an adult will help her.

@SW-User she can leave education when she 18 then she will have to learn if she won't take help with her problems
