Yes, they are elegant. My mom wears them as well only they are made from a very fine muslin with hand stitched embroidery imbued with Celtic designs from plant dyes. With her gorgeous figure and waist length blonde locks she looks quite regal. My two sisters and I clamored to have gowns of our own like her but we were too rough and tumble to wear anything other than your standard cotton jammies or the full length flannel nightgowns that we referred to as "granny bags".
