I Love the Smell of Old Books

I am told that it is not wise to smell them because it is the molds and mildew which we smell. But certainly old paper has an odor of its own! Doesn't It?

One of my favorite smells. You get the effect without breathing too deeply. It just seems to me to be the smell of knowledge and potential.

It does. If you keep them long enough, your new books turn into old books and you find yourself living with that smell. Which is just fine.

A bit acid, sour in general, but the better the quality, the better they smell.

There's nothing better than the smell of old books. With the possible exception of nude sailing, of course....
