@Pfuzylogic I went on a different day because I was a huge Clash fan. Lol. But yeah...
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
@BobbieT Sorry, my bad. I was a senior in high school and came back with a ridiculously bad sunburn.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@BobbieT impressive list
Pfuzylogic · M
Agents of Fortune 1976 Blue Oyster Cult.
It was hands down the most bizarre concert I ever experienced.
They didn’t play “Don’t fear they Reaper”.
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
@Pfuzylogic how could they not play that brilliant song? Maybe they didn't have enough cowbell?
Pfuzylogic · M
@NigelDoes They were madder than hell at the city of Cincinnati. Robin Trower played the “Bridges of Sighs” tour and the Festival seating at Riverfront made the crowd uncontainable.

At the Omni during college, all the greats of the day: Earth, Wind and Fire, Brick, LTD, and the Brothers Johnson. It was epic.
@uncalled4 This was the song of theirs that brought the house down, though...

@bijouxbroussard The horns just KICK IT on that song.

I know someone who worked with James's horn section, Maceo and all those cats. He said that once they got warmed up and going, they functioned as a unit, tight AF. They were even improvising tight horn stabs. It's that completely non-verbal communication that only musicians understand. I've only experienced it a handful of times and it is both transcendent and powerful.
@uncalled4 Yes. 😃
Kansas
Peter Tosh
The Rolling Stones
1978 Old Cleveland Stadium. 86,000 + fans.

Lady Gaga way back during the Monster Ball Tour. I about died and went to heaven.
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
I saw Pink Floyd play, some lady I seem to think is called Candy Dulfer played sax and made me wish I was musical, I'd love to play sax like that lady she was well impressive.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@AntisocialTroll I met Dave Gilmour whilst queuing up for an ice cream at an ice cream van
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
@Entwistle Did you speak to him?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@AntisocialTroll Yes i did briefly. He seemed a nice guy.

U2 Brisbane 1993 I think it was.
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
@Laughman I saw them multiple times in the early days and they always did a really amazing show.
Laughman · 46-50, M
@NigelDoes they are excellent, though these days I opt out of going to concerts as I just don't see the value. I prefer to listen to their albums. I can get a better view of their concerts on YouTube for free.

@Pfuzylogic I actually like her voice when she sings jazz. They did some good covers together

Metallica/The Cult 1989
ChiyoSKL · 31-35, F
My favorite was actually an opening band for a huge birthday bash concert close by. Never heard of them, but they performed their asses off. The guitarist jumped slung his guitar around him he caught it as he landed and continued to play. Man good times.

DIO on Graspop
What a gig.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
The Who in 2000.
SmartKat · 56-60, F
David Bowie, 1983.
Pink Floyd, sometime in the late 80s
Rolling Stones, 2005
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
@SmartKat I seem to remember the Docklands gigs were their last ever but time wise I reckon it had to be the same tour as they really didn't perform much by then, do you remember if they had an absolutely rocking female sax player? Id so it's gotta be the same tour/timescale.
SmartKat · 56-60, F
@AntisocialTroll I do remember they had a giant inflatable (anatomically correct male) pig suspended from the ceiling.
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
I honestly can't remember the sex of the pig but suspect it was the same one

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_Floyd_pigs

I do remember reading about the escapee at the time lol, not surprisingly a giant inflatable pig wandering over London made the news...
Peaches · F
My first concert was Van Morrison.🎶💓I haven't been to very many so I'll stick with that one. ☺️
Peppa · 31-35, F
I've been to so little, I went to see Craig David in recent years, that was pretty fun

Paul McCartney, NJ 2002. I've seen literally hundreds of live shows, but something about this was so....right.

He also happens to have a hell of a set list, so there's that, too.
