These dudes are doing a pretty good job of keeping the rock spirit alive in these sad rock times

@DrawntoaDistance Replacements are in my top 5 bands of all time. We are on the same page here!
@CtLuke This song is about Tommy and he plays on it 👍

@DrawntoaDistance yeah I heard he might be touring with them as the bass player. Way cooler than GnR.
It’ll never die. But you have to be curious and go looking for it and avoid the radio at all costs.

@DrawntoaDistance depends on your local programming, i still have some good stations
@silkandlace I have some good college stations in my area too. That list that Spotify makes for you every week based on what you play has turned me on to lots of great stuff as well.

@DrawntoaDistance there's enough younger bands that have it, it will never die, but not sure how mainstream it'll ever be again as long as pop keeps reigning......

That's a good question. I think it's still out there. But it's fading in popularity. It has to be rejuvenated by young people. Greta Van Fleet is doing a pretty good job with that. But pretty much all forms of music fizzle out. Wish it was hip hop instead.

It's popularity will be up and down, there will be era's when it's even uncool, but it won't die, not even in a thousand years.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
I doubt it ever will! 😊

1) I know it when I hear it.
2) As a creative medium? I would say yes. Generally? No.

I will use the Beatles as a great example. As they as a band show the change from rock and roll I to something that is not at all rock and roll.
Hard days night and before is Rock and Roll.

Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, White album, Yellow Submarine is anything but.
