Who Should Be In The Big 4?

Personally I always felt like Overkill or Testament should’ve been in the Big 4... I’m not the biggest fan of Slayer and while I like Anthrax, I feel like someone else should take their place. Metallica is great as well but they lost me a bit after And Justice For All. If I could pick my personal ‘Big 4’ It would be Testament, Annihilator, Megadeth and Overkill! I’d love to hear everyone’s opinion :)

@DirtyBird If you Google it you'll find quite a few of their songs were stolen from other artists. A lot of their big hits. Taken to court over it and everything. As much as I liked Led Zeppelin, I can't excuse that. Ripping off other artists is never okay.

@NankerPhelge Yeah it is true that a composer can accidentally come up with the same series of notes, especially if their knowledge is limited. But to copy an entire song like "A Whole Lotta Love" isn't possible. Also to have so many plagerism cases made against you... Sometimes you just gotta accept they stole

Megadeth! Still rocks. I definitely have to go with Slayer, Testament and Defiance. Probably dating myself a bit with Defiance, but they were incredible back in the day

I think the big 4 is okay as it is, sure there are other great bands but the 4 was kind pioneers for a time

@Throger There are a lot of german bands that didn't get the kind of attention that they deserve, Helloween, Doro, Accept, Running wild just to name a few

@Inquisator I’ve heard of Accept too! The others I can’t say I have 😕 I also know this Danish band called Artillery that’s pretty good as well

@Throger There are some good bands in Denmark but there is a long way to fame and fortune, The biggest for the moment is Volbeat, and there is the pioneers Disneyland after dark, Sort sol, Pretty Maids, then you have Artillery, I will be damned. Defecto just to name a few, Last time Metallica was in Denmark they let the danish fans decide who should be the warm up :-)
