I Want to Be More of a Minimalist
I donated and threw out around half my stuff before I moved last year. It felt really good and I haven't missed anything I got rid of. Between then and now I'd find a few things not necessary and would donate them. I'm going through another serious purge again. Every bag that leaves the house feels like a weight that has been lifted. At the same time it's hard deciding what I need and what I want.
Recently I've settled on the library being my "bookcase." I have books I'm just not reading and are taking up storage/decoration space. I went from three shelves of books that were two rows deep with books piled on top to one shelf of pleasure reads that is two rows deep. I also have about half a shelf of textbooks, some of which are not mine to get rid of. It wouldn't surprise me if I donated even more of my books over the next week.
