I think it's all about acceptance. And not in the whole "I accept that I'm a terrible person/ I accept that life sucks" kind of way. It's hard to explain. You don't have to have an optimistic view on the world, just so long as it's not pessimistic either. Try to see things as they are without the filter depression gives you. This seems to be what helped people in my life get through it :)

@AllSmilesAndAwkwardness: That's great...I actually came to a sense of loving myself after my very bad depression..I still do face depression, not as much as before....I myself said life sucks, I'm a nobody, I'm a loser....I realize all of that made me felt worse...and I'm not saying you are wrong, you a right...I can understand what you've been through as well ☺
