I miss the past

I miss the kind of music we had in the 80s. I just posted some Aldo Nova songs, and I’m also thinking about people like the Scorpions.

I miss my grandmother. She was so good for me, and gave me so much. I miss her house and her neighborhood.

I miss my mom. I had a dream about her last night. In the dream, we talked about me writing stories based on tarot spreads. She thought it was cool.

I miss my youth, but let’s not go there. It’s not coming back; and anyway, my brain works better now than it did then!

I miss believing there were good things in my future.

I miss the town I went to college in. I miss my best friend - I’ve known her since college, and I haven’t seen her in 18 months. (Thanks, COVID.)

I miss a time when my brother and I were closer.

I miss the first two years of MTV - before it started sucking.
