I Always Wished I Had a Sister

Yep. I have one brother, about 4 years younger than me. I almost had a sister, it turns out. When I was 13, though I didn't know it at the time, my mom was pregnant. Looking back, even, I had no idea. I can't recall her "showing" at all or anything like that. Somewhere around the 5th or 6th month, though, she lost the baby. She would've had a girl, and she'd be 36 years old at some point this year.

Around the same time, my aunt and uncle were expecting their first child. They had a girl. I've always been really close to that cousin. She's effectively the sister I never had. She's amazing and wonderful and kind and beautiful. 🥰
