I Hate Telemarketers
Reach Through The Phone And...... I tried to work as a telemarketer once. The pay was very good for 1989, but I only lasted an hour. I just hated cold-calling people and even if I was nice, harassing them.
So, when a telemarketer calls, I do have some sympathy, but they make me want to reach through the phone and slap the person on the other end. Plus they call at the most inconvenient times. Your in the bath, on the toilet, etc. Now, they also text your cell as well. No communication path is sacred enough that a advertiser can't ply his wares. Mail, e-mail, WWW, phone, cell all become paths for spam. That is what a telemarketer really is. He or she is spam. If they were a normal human making a call then they would leave a message, but they don't. I'm even on a National Don't Call List. But they still call. Sad what advertising is. Just think a snake oil salesman from the 19th century would understand the telemarketer better than us.
