I Am Scared to Get Too Close Again

Dear People of EP
I am not interested in getting close with you. Chatting is fine, but I am guarded. I'm not here to make friends and I believe that real friendships made on the Internet are rare. Truthfully, I don't ever expect these relationships to last...any of them. I'm sorry to the few of you who will probably be shocked by this, I hope you're not hurt. This is how I cope, how I protect myself. I truthfully do LOVE some of the friends I have made here and I honestly would love to meet you (hopefully you know who you are) in real life one day.

That's totally understandable given what happened last year. People come and go, like Ellie, who had her own turmoils because a very good friend of hers just disappeared overnight too. But you know where we are if you want us (assuming I'm not in bed at the time!)
