I Removed A Toxic Person From My Life

sadly it was my dad. he become abusive towards my mom and us girls. its rare in our church to divorce but my mom had enough. she has remarried now a wonderful widower who has become a dad to us.

unequally yolked, cheating and i would add abuse. our deacon board sees part of their job is to protect the women and children of our church

That's good to hear. Divorce does happen. It's not looked upon as a good thing, but the Bible does have criterial for it... so all is good.

Sassy- well yes. It's actually an Elder's position, but I'm not sure how your church defines those. Grounds for divorce do exist.
