@Mooncalf Maybe both. Being negative helps you see threats but your body is geared towards habit so it hurts you as well.

@Mooncalf Well in evolution it's a great trait to have, with social implications it isn't. So maybe.

@Mooncalf Sometimes what saves us also hurts us but you can develop ways to separate when it helps or hurts. Keeping in mind to not identify with your thoughts, a thought is just a thought.
