I love musicals. Tell me your favorite film.

The greatest I have seen is "August Rush" A child who believes he has no family is gifted with Music. So very moving is this film.

My Fair Lady, The Sound Of Music. Musicals have Song. That is what I can watch over and over repeatedly. And yet, Please try and seek the DVD titled 'August Rush'. You have again the sweet adorable child you once saw in Shirley Temple. Most all the MGM films had the song. The sounds that gifted the audience with a smile. Many DVD's can be borrowed from your local library.

@Primnproper Thank-YOU Metro Goldwin Mayer. I grew up with those films. They were the paintings on the wall of my childhood.

Loved "August Rush," though not a musical in the strictest sense even though music is a central theme. I've never been a big fan of true musicals, movies where people break into song in lieu of dialog, but I love "Singing in the Rain." LOL

I don’t rate things very often….I just try to enjoy each one for what it is. “August Rush” was a wonderful film…but there are a number of other very fine musicals as well.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, HairSpray, Little Shop of Horrors and so on, especially RHPS
Love August Rush. There are so many movies I love, don't have a favorite though
