No, make that the funniest comedy movie. I watch it every time it comes on TV and still hoot & laugh like the first time. That movie wouldn’t even be released in theaters today due to the present climate in the USA.

-take any functioning hierarchy, typically a nation or religion, in which there are power inbalances because some people are smarter or more work driven than others and achieve more - convince the members that the inequality is due to an injustice - dismantle that system by creating animosity toward the apparent unjust members which creates weakness in the hierarchy (house divided can’t stand) - deny that productive values are objective and healthy and are instead oppressive so that the targeted group cannot mend itself - then put themselves on top of the Frankenstein remnants of that group
@cherokeepatti someone I know from the west who pretends to be offended at everything actually took offense at how my east asian partner referred to her own Asian-ness. No joke.
@pianoplayingsteve I don’t deal well with individuals who do that. Someone here argued with me that the term “American Indians” was offensive to American Indians and that we were supposed to call them “Native Americans”. It was a white person who started that crap and it was for political reasons. A famous Indian activist even spoke out against it....Russell Means.
