The Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote cartoons. The first one-released to movie theaters on July 2'nd, 1949-was called "Fast and Furry-Ous." In this classic cartoon, the coyote discovers the amazingly fast road runner for the first time; as in ALL of the animated shorts, the coyote-via a variety of clever methods-tries-and fails-to capture the road runner. :)
