That's great in theory, but easier said than done.

@PhoenixPhail Nothing about being who you are should be hard. You just behave and think naturally without thought if others like you. If you act differently then what ..who you are... You will end up disliking yourself!!
@Echoing I was led into disliking myself, first. That's how I came to be a people pleaser.

@PhoenixPhail First.. sorry about not replying sooner.
Me too .. I was led to believe I was a total loser. I cowed-down and summitted. Began acting/thinking as THEY thought I should. I wanted to live up to THEIR reasoning. That is when all hell broke loose and I found myself lost...not liking me cause I liked them... so confusing and belittling.
I stopped doing as they thought I should.. they were so surprised and confused them selves now...lol..
Better them than me.
I embraced myself, gave myself the same considerations, respect... Love!
Little by little I grew and I am what I am...ME!
@Echoing Congratulations on your doing that. That's my intention. With all I carry around with me, I haven't been able to achieve that yet. But I work on it every day. Some days are better than others. With all that's going on with me, physically, it's been harder to find better days. And I thank you for your wise words. 🤗

@PhoenixPhail Thank you for being a fine friend. It took me over 50 years to get it half-way right. Now.. I got a handle on who I am and not what others want me to be.💗
@Echoing I do enjoy our friendship, and would like more conversation with you. I appreciate that it took you so long to now be where you are. That you were able to do that, is encouraging. I still have hope. 🤗💗
