Day 25.4. Again.

When you think about friendships and the promises you made within them, how many are you still holding onto?

They say relationships tend to have a 7 year cycle. Some last less. Some last more.

When I think back to one friend I had in particular, it couldn't have lasted longer. We both changed. Or maybe we just started to see each other for who we were and didn't like that.

When I think about friendships I ruined, I often wonder how long they'd have lasted too.

We're not always tolerant to each others needs once we get comfortable and reliant on someone. We forget that they're evolving, hurting, needing, wanting too.

But it's hard to remember that when someone strokes your ego just by being themselves. How amazing is it to have someone feel comfortable enough to be themselves with you. I wish I remembered to step back at times like that and appreciate them for who they are.

I get all of this. I also think the likes of Fakebook, WhatsCrapp, Instagrim, etc. have fundamentally changed the way some friendships develop and are sustained. I avoid Fakebook these days for this reason. I give friends a call to catch up. Just like the good old days.

@Ironicman I think people use them all wrong. I use it to keep up family abroad because time differences make calling harder than needed. But, yes, wheb it becomes becomes popularity contest, it's stupid.
