I Want Friends Who Are Actually Friends

Okay guys I want your opinion on this. Two best friends are hanging out and talking about laundry and how tiresome it is. Two are college students and one is a local whereas the other is from some other state. The local one gets to go home often. And when the local one advised her friend not to postpone her laundry, the other state one replied saying that”I DONT HAVE A MOM WHO LIVES NEAR ME AND WHO WOULD DO ALL MY CHORES” now this deeply hurt the local friend and she mentioned that she felt bad for that comment but the other friend replied saying if she felt bad then it’s her fault.

So what do you think about this? Do you think the local one shouldn’t have felt bad?

When it comes to feelings... there's no such thing as "should" and shouldn't". No one can just say I shouldn't feel bad therefore I don't. If it made you feel bad, figure out why and deal with it. Don't ask if it was right or wrong to feel bad. Maybe you feel bad because you feel guilty that there's some truth in what she said? Does your mom do your laundry? And maybe your friend lashed out because she feels bad that she keeps putting stuff off like that.

I don't know. Does her mom actually do all her chores or did the other friend make a baseless accusation?

It says a lot about what that friend thinks of her. From the outside, it seems like she is a bit jealous of the local friend because when her friend gave her advice she went on the defensive instead of seeing it for what it was...advice.

I think people shouldnt air thier dirty laundry. And as for getting others to work for them slavery was outlawed in many parts of the world a long time ago. I dont wash it saves time. Hugs btw
