I Read All Narnia Books

I just wrote this post but it disappeared into the ether.

So, here goes again.

I wrote a post for the "I Love C. S. Lewis" group explaining how I had read all seven books in "The Chronicles of Narnia" series non-stop - unintentionally as it were.

I began reading the first book the Wednesday evening before Thansgiving, 1974, and finished the last book the Friday morning after the holiday.

There was no sleep involved - just quick breaks for food and drink as needed by my stomach, and piss stops as required by my bladder.

I have read the series several times since then - about every 10 years or so - but never again non-stop.

I also read the books in the original order as written by Lewis, rather than in the new order used by the publisher to "help the series make more sense".

I have also read and enjoyed
Lewis' three book Perelandra series.

I will look for you next time that I am in the back of my wardrobe. Of course, that is just one of an infinite number of portals. How many have you found?

By the way, Susan sucks. She has her feet on the ground and her head and heart up her ass!

As a librarian extraordinaire and a bibliophile sans peer, do you prefer the original order of the books, or the newer revised order?

I think revising the order was a sort of slap at most people's intelligence. Any moron knew that the professor had visited Narnia long before Lucy and the other children!
